Machinery Plant Control & Monitoring Systems (MPCMS)
Deep Down Marine Technologies provides Machinery Plant Control and Monitoring Systems (MPCMS) for commercial, private and military applications. MPCMS is also known as Vessel Management System (VMS) or Alarm Monitoring System (AMS).
Our MPCMS provides centralized remote control with an information display. Designed in accordance with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) rules and DNV certifications, we can provide extremely complex MPCMS systems, tightly integrated solutions and basic monitoring systems for vessels of any size and market.
Currently we have MPCMS systems on many mission critical vessels including the United States Coast Guard’s latest multi-mission vessel, the USCGC MACKINAW. Integrated with other manufacturers such as ABB (Propulsion Control), Siemens (Fire Systems), Caterpillar (Engines) and Kongsberg (Navigation) we monitor over 5,700 points at 12 full control workstations.
We also have systems on the three new Kennedy Class Staten Island Ferries - the Molinari, Marchi and Spirit of America. Post-9/11, the New York City Department of Transportation is focused on the safety and security of the New York City mass transit system and we implemented a MPCMS with remote monitoring and control capabilities along with a state-of-the-art CCTV system for incident recording and evaluation.
